Friends with Benefits: Canada

Complicity Canada

Despite a light “embargo” on arms export to Israel until 1996, Canada has been providing Israel with military equipment continuously.

The value of Canada’s exports of military goods to Israel have been growing since then and reached the highest level, after 1978, in 2021 for the value of $27,8 Million Canadian Dollars

Canadian defense companies, such as CAE Inc., have collaborated with Israeli companies like Elbit Systems including, among others, for the joint development of training simulators and avionics systems for military aircraft.

In 2021, Elbit Systems announced a contract worth approximately USD $103 million with the Canadian government for remote weapon stations.

Canadian and Israeli military forces engage in joint exercises, such as the “Blue flag air”, the Israeli air force exercise.

These exercises involve fighter jets from both countries simulating various scenarios, which focus on interoperability and military tactics, that Israel develops and tests on the Palestinian captive population.

Israeli cybersecurity firms have established partnerships with Canadian companies.

For example, Check Point Software Technologies collaborated with the Canadian BlackBerry Cylance to prevent mobile cyber-attack threats, specifically aimed at businesses.

Israeli firm CyberArk partnered with various Canadian financial institutions to advance cyber surveillance and identification systems.

In Agro-Tech, the Canada-Israel Agriculture Innovation Fund (CIAIF) promotes joint research projects, knowledge sharing, and technology transfer for agriculture.

It includes areas like water management, crop optimization, and innovative farming techniques developed by Israel at the cost of Palestinian land expropriation and exploitation of the labor force and natural resources.

Canada was one of the first countries to recognize the State of Israel when it was established in 1948 and the two countries have an extensive relationship.

Bilateral  agreements and partnerships are benefiting the Israeli Apartheid regime in the military industry, cybersecurity, agriculture technology, and alternative energy.

The Jewish National Fund has been central in covering up the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian villages since early zionism, continuing to seize more land.

Its Canadian branch flagship project “Canada Park” is built over the ruins of 3 villages forcibly expelled and occupied in 1967 (Yalu, Imwas, and Deir Ayub).
